DIY Driftwood Jewerly Hanger
When most people are combing the beach for shells, I’m up in the dunes trying to find driftwood. I love how it looks filling glass vases. I love how it looks painted in bright colors. And I especially love it because it’s so soft you can build with it even when you don’t own a drill.
So when I found this long piece of driftwood, I knew it would make the perfect jewelry and robe hanger for my room. Here’s how to make your own:
Step 1: Paint your driftwood. My room has more of a calm, natural look to it, so I used gold metallic spray paint and white acrylic paint to add accents.
Step 2: Screw in small metallic hooks, evenly spaced. My driftwood was so soft I could just place the screws right it, but it’d be easy to use a small drill bit for help.
Step 3: Use twine or rope as your hanger, and tie each end of the rope securely about five inches from each end of the stick.
Step 4: Hang up your stuff!
