Introducing French Fred as our newest Advocate
Fred Mortagne, the renowned filmmaker and photographer known simply as "French Fred", has created a comprehensive body of work that has inspired legions of skateboarders throughout the years. Today we are proud to announce his addition to our Advocate program, a longstanding series conceived in the 90’s.
"French Fred is a legendary filmmaker and I’m honored to have him join our roster of Advocates", said Founder Johnny Schillereff. "He is truly a creative individual that epitomizes Element’s quest to explore different worlds through the avenue of skateboarding. Through our Advocate program we endeavor to partner with the best artistic talents out there. He is a true innovator, constantly pushing forward with the exploration of his aesthetic point of view and adaption of new techniques."
French Fred began filming in his hometown of Lyon, France, moving on to collaborate with some of the most highly regarded artists, riders and brands to create iconic skateboard films such as éS Skateboards, "Menikmati", "Flip Skateboards", "Sorry", Cliché’s, "Bon Appetit", among others. He recently collaborated with fellow Element Advocate Thomas Campbell on the short film "Cuatro Sueños Pequeños". His first project for the brand was globally unveiled in April 2015 – a short commercial spot to introduce the Spring 2015 Sketch Floral Collection. Stay tuned for his upcoming Element Perspective Series...
